Support Us

   Thank you for your interest in supporting CBS!  The generosity of our donor base is what allows CBS to be a unique and exciting learning community for our students.

    Many students at CBS can only attend the school because of the support of their sponsors, and there are many more children who wish to attend but cannot afford tuition.  The school provides numerous scholarships to students, but relies on outside sponsors to help fund additional scholarships as well.  Sponsoring a child gives them a high-quality bilingual education and offers them opportunities they would not otherwise ever have.  Our graduates can continue on to higher education and are more likely to receive higher-paying jobs.  Sponsorship gives these children the opportunity to later find a job where they can support themselves and their families.  For many poverty-stricken children in Cofradía, an English education is their one shot to break the cycle of poverty for them and their family.

The cost of sponsoring a student a CBS (in US dollars):

Tuition = On average, $750 dollars a year

Books = $74 dollars

Uniforms = $23 dollars

    Approximately one fifth of our students attend CBS on scholarship.  If you would like to sponsor a child, we ask that you make a commitment to sponsor the child until they reach graduation.  We understand that this is an extended commitment, but these children cannot afford to attend CBS without a sponsor.  When a scholarship student loses their sponsor, they are unable to come back to CBS the following year, which is heartbreaking for students who have grown to love CBS and have become integrated into the CBS community.

         Other Donations

    If you are interested in donating but cannot sponsor a child, donations support meal plans for students who cannot afford to bring lunch, school supplies, gym equipment, teaching supplies, and new uniforms and books for students who cannot afford them.  We are in constant need of supplies, and any donation is always greatly appreciated.
